Sorption-enhanced gasification (SEG) is a promising technology for producing renewable feedstock gas to be used in biofuel synthesis processes, especially dimethyl ether (DME) synthesis. To adopt the on commercial scale, it necessary acquire knowledge about related operational characteristics. The SEG process carried out at lower temperatures than those employed conventional gasifiers. A typical operating range from 600 °C 800 °C. Fuel decomposition experiments have shown distribution of products vary by temperature this range, and thus, important adapt phenomenon modelling process. model dependence products, fuel was developed. were conducted obtain boundary conditions model. developed implemented an frame, prediction compared against data 200 kWth dual fluidised bed facility. gave satisfactory predictions producer composition trends.
